Geoffrey Wittig, MD

Family Medicine was truly part of his family.

Dr. Wittig experienced family medicine from a young age when he followed his grandfather, a pediatrician, to visit families who needed care. From that point on, he knew he wanted to make people’s lives better, to lessen their suffering so that they could live happy and healthy lives.

“I wanted to serve a community need and I chose Tri-County. It’s very satisfying to do a challenging job well, knowing that our patients are so appreciative. I treat patients like family and close friends. I know no other way to practice medicine.”

Upstate New York is home to Dr. Wittig, and that’s where he’s spent 30 years practicing medicine at Tri-County. Dr. Wittig did his undergraduate work at the University of Rochester and then continued to medical school at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse. His residency was completed at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center.

In his spare time, you’ll find Dr. Wittig with his wife, children and grandchildren. He also likes to express his love of nature through art, both painting and photography.
